Massage Services

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the manual manipulation of soft tissue by a Registered Massage Therapist. Each treatment involves a variety of techniques designed to improve circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve muscle and joint mobility and promote relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage

Relaxation is not enough? Deep Tissue Massage is for you. Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of soft tissues. It aims to balance muscle tone, correct body posture and release muscles from chronic pain.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Therapy is a deeply soothing and relaxing technique. The smooth basalt stones used in this treatment are heated to a comfortable temperature and applied to various points of the body. The massage itself is done with both hands and heated stones. Hot stone therapy offers a relaxing and ‘de-stressing’ effect, as it increases circulation and decreases general muscle aches and pains.

Sports Massage

Sports massage can help prevent injuries to the soft tissues and joints, as well as facilitate repair of overexerted or strained muscles. Techniques increase blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, which will help reduce swelling, muscle fatigue and muscle tension. Each sport or workout places different demands on the soft tissues; therefore the therapist will tailor a massage specific to individual needs.

Pregnancy Massage

Studies support that massage therapy during pregnancy can improve baby’s health and development, reduce labor time and decrease complications. Massage Therapy can also alleviate mommy’s stress and anxiety, while eliminating aches and pains. If you have any questions about pregnancy massage, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thai Massage

Thai massage is a dynamic form of bodywork that developed in Thailand. This form of massage combines a series of yoga-like stretches, acupressure and joint mobilization. Thai massage is a graceful dance between giver and receiver where the therapist uses her hands, knees, legs and feet to move the recipient into each posture. The massage is an hour to an hour in a half in duration and is preformed on a padded mat on the floor with the recipient fully clothed.

Each massage service is tailored to meet specific individual needs and therefore a full healthy history is required before treatment.
