Pilates is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. In addition, Pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body and strengthen the body’s “core” or “powerhouse” (torso). People who do Pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health.
Offering both private and group classes. Each class is designed to teach the individual about mind body connection through a series of exercises that focus on the “core” (abdomen and back). A strong “core” creates good posture and facilitates healthy joints and strong muscles. Pilates is a combination of stretches and weight baring exercises which elongate and strengthen the muscles to create a tall lean physique.
Group classes are “open” which means they are suitable for any level. Whether you have practiced Pilates for years or this is your first time on a mat, you will be challenged. Classes are Monday evenings from 8:00-9:00 ,Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7:45-8:45.
